Faulty sump pump

Product looks good, theory of two pumps is also good...bought it on sale, no power ..something was wrong right out of the box...had to take it back after the expense of gluing and cutting to fit...one day spent for nothing...Canadian tire was good about taking it back and giving full refund as they had no others like it in stock

A: One pump running = 2600 GPH/ 5' 2100 GPH/10' 1600 GPH/15' 250 GPH/20' Two pumps running = 5000 GPH/ 5' 4100 GPH/10' 3100 GPH 15' 460 GPH/20' Friction loss in pipe not included.

Q: Petit trou Bonjour, il y a un petit trou sur le coté de la pompe (voir image) par lequel l'eau sort lorsqu'elle est en marche, Est-ce normal?

A: Ce trou sert à empêcher la formation de poches d’air. Il est donc NORMAL et NÉCESSAIRE que de l’air et de l’eau s’en échappent. NE BLOQUEZ PAS CE TROU.

Q: Is this sump 1/3, 1/2 of 1 hp per pump? On the pumps it says that it is 1/2hp when hooked up to 125v and 1 h/p when hooked up to 250v (per pump). The box says 1/3 hp each. But are they in fact 1/2hp each? And can I connect them to 250v to get them working as 1hp each? See pic.

A: These pumps are 1/3HP each and are to be connected to 115V only. The following electrical information are in the instruction manual and on the pump labels. 115V AC, 60Hz. 1/3 HP, 7.4A, (15A at start), each pump. There is no mention about any other HP or voltage applicable to this pumping system.
