Inexpensive but poorly designed / built pads

I’ve had these for about 6 months and they are ok for light to moderate clamping but the floating pads at the end that are meant to protect your work are very poorly attached. My first day using I dropped one and two pads broke off. I’d expect most tools to be able to take a short fall off a workbench, but I shrugged it off thinking, my fault. However since then about 1/4 of the pads have come off just through normal use, so probably not me. If you look closely you’ll see it’s just a tiny plastic bump holding them in place. In the end I still use them but wish I had bought a better set.
