The Mastercraft Magnetic Stud Finder eases the process of locating screws, nails and metal studs behind walls. This wall stud finder detects studs by using rare earth magnets. An adjustable bubble vial provides level and plumb measurements while using this stud detector, and marking gaps along the edges allow for easy marking of the stud edges that the wall scanner detects. This stud detector is useful for a variety of projects, including home renovations or wall mountings. A built-in hang hole makes it easy to use this stud finder for hanging artwork. This magnetic stud finder can easily fit in your pocket, allowing for convenient portability.

Simple tool, works well

This tool has rare earth magnets and is very strong. Works well as a stud sensor by finding nails or screws in gyproc. Recommended.

Works great for us!

Finally a stud finder that works for our thick walls. I must admit I was skeptical. We have thick plaster over a backerboard. Finding studs to this point has been a real challange. Works best on a string. Ceilings may be more of a challenge. Move it around on the wall and you can locate the nails holding the backerboard, the center of your stud. Simple and effective.

Bought this to hang an expensive heavy cuckoo clock, so was critical I located the stud within the wall. This worked beautifully. So simple, with no need to worry about batteries or lights going off and on. Highly recommend.
