The bomb!

These knives are the bomb! Really sturdy great quality knives! I own about 5 of them. I'm not sure I would buy them at regular price - wait until they go on sale. Comes with a pack of blades too!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Disappointing bling version of old 57-5025

Again canadian tire had a winning product the old version of the 57-5025 (used to be 5 stars, new version barely worthy of 3) & they tried to make a more gadgety version with more bling. However the added features turn out to be week points after all. The blade carryer socket in the handle makes the handle off center & bulkier in a bad way. It also means that the handle is made of plastic instead of sturdy metal. & the first part to break is low & behold the blade compartment. The thumb cushion is not where you normally apply pressure near the top of the blade so as not to block the opening mecanism. & it turns out to be again one of the very breakable features.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Disappointed.

I bought this as a replacement for an older version of a lock blade utility knife I had. Initially it looked good, but was soon disappointed. The blade doesn't lock tight as the slot is bigger than the blade. The convenient blade storage would be useful for some, but as a tradesmen, i found it pointless as not only do i carry spares regularly, but because it was a weak point in the knife, breaking off soon after. Under moderate use, it may be alright, but under steady use, I'll stick to a more solid option.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How do you close it? How do you close this dang thing?? I can't get the blade to fold down into the handle. Help would be appreciated.

  • A: Push on the stainless steel part of the handle where there is a indentation / bump in the rubber. This will allow the knife to fold in.
