I bought this in Nov 2024 and hadn’t really used it. It will barely clamp on to the tire tube. Like a mm or two so effectively useless.
I warrantied it in Jan 2026. The connector is different. It goes on very nicely like you’d expect it to.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: First thing is that this tool is not simply a tire pressure indicator. It is a tire inflator and is must be connected an air compressor to display the tire pressure while being inflated If you do not have an air compressor to connect the inflator to than this tool will not work for you. The flexible hose must connect to the valve stem on your tire, and if there is not an air compressor connected to the rigid other end then you will basically be flowing air right through the inflator, thus making it a deflator. If there is an air compressor connected to the rigid end then there will be back pressure stopping the flow through the inflator and displaying the tire's pressure on the pressure gage and you pull the trigger to add additional air as required. I think that if you are unsure then you should consider just getting a simple pencil style gage or a digital tire pressure gage. I'm certain that someone at the store can assit you in choosing an appropriate tool.

A: No. If the guage needle has been bumped, you will need to replace it.

Q: What size/kind of adapter fitting do I buy so I can attach to the service station air hose? This gun will not attach to the compressor air hose at the garage with some other fitting.

A: Thanks for reaching out. The size of this fitting is 1/4-in NPT. We'd recommend purchasing the Mastercraft Quick-Connect Air Tool Coupler & Plugs Kit, 1/4-in NPT, 4-pc (Product # 058-7977) as it is the best option in this case.
