Don't buy if you only think you may have problems with sensor. I have problem with sensor function on my Mastercraft garage door opener...causing door to not shut..I bought and installed new sensors but problem not fixed so supplier of Mastercraft garage door opener sending new main circuit board...we'll see. My beef with Canadian Tire in this case...normally love their return policy...is that they wouldn't give full refund only credit on this as I installed these sensors...even though I installed and removed same day, Not a big deal as I will spend the credit..but seems wrong as their brand name product they should stick behind no questions asked.

Q: Will these sensors work on a Genie garage door opener which was purchased from Canadian Tire in 2009?

A: I would say not compatible. There may some units that they do work with, but for the most part I say no. Each set of photo eyes from different manufactures have something different about the way they communicate with the opener.
