Couldn't use the item!

I bought this product to sweep water out of the garage and had to return it a couple of hours later because it was unusable. It comes with a screw. The blade needs to be screwed onto the stick, which is hard plastic. No hole to guide the screw, so one obviously needs a drill! As I don't have a drill and I didn't want to damage my hand like the other person in the comments, I returned the item. Nobody could help me at the store to assemble it either. So they gave me a gift certificate. Why sell stuff that can't be used??

Fait très bien la job mais ne vous attendez pas à ce qu'il dure des années. La bande de caoutchouc finit par fendre. C'est mon 2e et je devrai bientôt le changer. Faute de mieux, j'en rachèterai un autre. Dommage qu'on ne vende pas que la bande de rechange.

Q: Are you supposed to drill through the plastic end to screw the squeegee onto the handle? There's no hole for the screw

A: Yup! I took a drill (smaller size than the screw) and drilled about a centimeter in to help guide the screw. Was super smooth/easy with no issues.

Q: what is the little extra rubber part on the end of the Mastercraft Floor Squeegee, 24-in Product #042-9556-4 shown in the web picture used for.

A: This is hanging hole. It’s mainly for display purpose. Stores can hang the squeegees on the shelf via this hole.
