Defective hinge.

Purchased and used for approximately 2 weeks. The hook at the end of the measuring tape broke off. I was able to exchange for another one due to the defective first one. So far the replacement measuring tape if working fine.

Q: How much does this 100' tape stretch during use over a 100' span?Need to measure a property line from 1 peg to the next property which states 495' so I had to measure stretch it out 4 times as the ground was uneven.I know it's not accurate but hope close.

A: The wheel and it’s gear allows the tape to run and fully stretch freely to cover the 100’ span. The durability, ease of use and readability of markings should help measure the distance of the property,
