The Mastercraft Cubed Pick Grid Foam Tray, 21-in, is a solid choice for creating snug, specialized shapes in all sizes for various tools, accessories, cases, and packaging. This foam insert makes it safe to keep your tools and other equipment inside a pre-cut grid area, preventing damage. These Mastercraft foam inserts utilize a grid configuration that allows the foam to be easily separated by hand to fit around any shape of an object. The individual foam cubes are only 0.59 x 0.59” (1.5 cm x 1.5 cm) each and can be combined to form a highly modular storage solution. Actually a very decent quality foam insert. Was slightly larger than my case but that's a good thing because I was able to cut it to the exact size. Use a bread knife to cut foam, works like magic.

Foam Cushion was for my drone and accessories in a hard shell case. It worked as expected and was easy to work with. For full depth cutouts it was fine, but for shallower cutouts it was not as suitable.

Q: Last I checked, a "cube" has THREE dimensions... So the size of the cubes is 0.59 x 0.59" x WHAT!?!? Do we assume that the third dimension is also 0.59" (a true cube) leaving a bottom layer? Or is it the depth of the foam (2-5/32’’) creating a hole?

A: Yes the depth of the foam is 2-5/32’’ (5.5 cm), by removing the cubes you will create a hole on the foam.
