Q: How do you mount a string to this Is there a way to remove the top of this plumb bob in order to mount a sting in the middle? There seems to be a hole at the top for the string to be centered to the tip but I can not get it off

A: The top of the plumb bob unscrews. You can then attach the string around the piece inside and pass it through the hole in the top.
