I bought this helmut was impressed with the auto darkening feature but not so much anymore because of the flash burn I have got from it auto darken will go off and on while I am welding .

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: This helmet is auto dark fix shade at 10 Is there a way to change it to a 9 Do you need to replace the lens ect or are you stuck at 10 thanks

A: Yes it is fixed at shade 10, if you want a lower shade setting you would require to change the lens or buy a helmet with various shade settings. I have both types.
