It's ok if complete .. 3 stars for now

Bought one online, in clearance, with pick-up, what I got is an incomplete display unit. It was not advertised as such.
The right grinder wheel cover is missing two fixing screws.
I removed the top wheel covers and used those screws instead.
The shield with the magnifier is missing. The one without magnifier is broken. The little plastic tray is also broken where it hangs on the unit.
Powered it up for some time, the motor and the bearings are good (no squeaky sounds) balanced well enough.
Definitely, all issues are not with the manufacturer. Avoid display units with small or moving parts.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm following up on a broken switch issue. I was able to epoxy the switch back together then found inside where the pins slide along the prongs were very dry. I applied a little grease and reassembled. It now turns off and on even BETTER than when I first purchased it. It's a tough little grinder except for this cheap plastic switch but it can be repaired if that's your thing.

just a few years use

Used for light, occassional hobby work in my garage. Happy with performance until the other day I went to turn it on and the on/off switch snapped! I'm the only one that uses it and am always careful with my tools. I haven't the foggiest what caused it but not the entire machine is virtually useless. Many older bench grinders last a lifetime. Guess I can take it apart and hard wire a new switch. Very disappointed in the life expectancy but it did serve me well. Won't buy another because of this.

Doesn't work at all

Bought and assembled unit. plugged in and turned on but motor just makes a buzzing sound. Wheels won't rotate. I managed to get it working once to sharpen an axe. Now it doesn't work at all. Time to pack it up and return it.

A: Providing the mandril size is the same. You can pack the on both sides. Do NOT drill out the centre the of wire well to fit.

A: Yes you can, but it does take a lot of pratice to get a good cut, so try it out with some old scrap knives before the good ones.. Always using the fine wheel.

A: We would not endorse using 4.5” grinding discs on a 6” bench grinder.
