Not the solution I was looking for

Bought this lock to replace a standard lock that kept on filling with ice this year. It looks good but the very first time there was any cold weather the lock froze and so did the cap that should have helped cover the key hole. I've tried with and without the protective cover and it has the exact same issue. I've since switched back to the old lock as the new one wasn't even locking up anymore once I was able to open it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Je viens tout juste d'installer le produit, donc c'est une évaluation a court terme. Le cadenas me semble solide, j’apprécie que la serrure soit cachée des intempéries. Je ne peux donner un 5-étoile avant une évaluation a plus long terme, mais je recommande ce produit.

Terrible in the cold.

I am not typically inclined to leave a negative review but to call this lock weather proof is ridiculous. Of all the locks I’ve owned this one is the least suitable for cold climates. Water runs into the mechanism from the top then pools in the ‘protective’ flap over the keyhole forming an ice plug. Because it’s coated in plastic it is very difficult to heat this lock to thaw it out as well. If you choose to no use this lock in winter do yourself a big favour, buy an angle grinder and a good cutting wheel - you’re going to need it. I apologize to CT and Master Locks for such a scathing review but this is a terrible product for the Canadian climate.
