Efficiently manage water in many areas with the Mastercraft Electric Utility Pump. Designed for temporary installation, this electric utility pump is ideal for removing water from basins, tanks, flooded floors, window wells, basements and large flooded areas. Powered by a long-lasting, oil-cooled 1/2 HP motor, this submersible water pump features auto switch-off protection to prevent overheating and a thermoplastic housing to prevent rust and corrosion.

This is a good product, my third one I bought, B.C. last one was left on top of the pool cover and tilted so I think it got cooked as a result. Just keep it straight up and make sure not run dry and should work for a long time. I have looked, there is nothing 1/2 hp on the market in this price range, everything is either less power or more expensive. Its components are plastic that’s why price is lower but works well for households stuff. Like emptying rain water fathered o e my pool cover.

Pump works well for basement without sump pump drain

We bought this when our basement flooded with several inches of ground water. Our house was built in the late 1800's so it has no sump pump hole. It did a good job of draining the water so that we could use a shop vac and rug shampooer to get the rest. We were able to run the hoses that we bought out a basement window to get rid of the water. The water flow was quite impressive.

Bien dans l'ensemble. Pompe plus rapide que ma 1/3 de HP précédente. Je m'en sert pour vider ma piscine au printemps. Équilibre un peu précaire de la pompe, assez facile à renverser. Ensemble plastique pas très pesant et centre de gravité un peu trop haut. Devrait inclure adaptateur 1 po 1/2 vers 1 po au lieu de seulement 3/4 po. Pompe efficacement jusqu'à un faible niveau d'eau. Silencieuse, mais un jet d'eau surprenant se manifeste quand la pompe commence a être dégagé suffisamment.

A: I have pumped out a 10 foot deep, 32 feet round pond and 75 feet horizontally with no trouble. I've had this pump for 2 years and mis-used it in mud and gravel, yet it is still going strong. I don't recommend that treatment, but it is my experience. I like the larger intake slots, too. Great Pump!

Q: we have this pump but the flow rate has dropped considerable since first used... we have noticed that water sprays out of a little square projection just behind the hose connection... is this normal?

A: No , it's not normal. Remove the outlet hose, 2inch connector. Check bottom of pump ensure that it is free of any obstructions. Pump should operate with no load. If this works then outlet hose maybe blocked, good luck.

A: Hi there, At 6' of lift, through 1-1/2" pipe the pump will do 170 liters per minute. Through a 3/4" garden hose, about 1/2 of that. Thanks
