Exactly what it is supposed to do, easy to set up just read the instructions and you will be able see how easy it is . I was impressed at how convenient it is to use and it does make me feel better knowing I have it .

Horrible folding design

I purchased this folding security bar because it looked like it was a nice redesign from the older version. Boy was I wrong. It collapses it half when you put a little to much pressure when securing under the door handle. Finally gave up and threw it away and went back to the original design since I still had it but made a little modification to it, and it works great!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Didn't work, door still opens

I had the other version of this that didn't fold and it worked well, but this didn't work. I've only had it for 2 days and it's no longer works. I made sure it was securely placed under the door and tested it to be sure. My door opened with literally no resistance. I tried multiple times and my door still opened. It's only 2 days old so the rubber isn't worn and my floor is tile so the rubber should stick to it. The foldable design also makes it more wobbly than the non foldable one. I'll probably just buy a non foldable one again which personally I would recommend over the foldable one.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Does this have to be placed at bottom of sliding dorr? Can it be placed in the middle?

A: The bar is designed to work on many different surfaces, including tiles, woods, linoleum's, and carpets. What usually provides best performance is to position the bar with one end under the doorknob, then tightly adjusting the foot at approximately 18in from the base of the door. Adjusts from 25-1/2in to 43-1/2in for use on most hinged and sliding doors.
