Doesnt last long

I bought this coffee maker a year and a half ago and this coffee maker started not working properly after about 5 months. It started to take a long time to brew making chimes to indicate it was finished brewing but only partially done. Now it is toast. I think its fried. The light comes but it will not brew at all. Choose another coffee maker

I bought this coffee maker 16 months ago. Most of the warming plate has flaked off and now it sometimes brews coffee and sometimes I need to keep unplugging it then plugging it back in again. I sent an email to Lagostina about a month ago but heard nothing. I will never buy a Lagostina product again considering their customer service.

Fantastic Drip Coffee Maker

After unsuccessfully purchasing - and returning, several drip coffee makers after our 11 year old machine's lid broke, we decided to go with this Lagostina coffee maker. It was a very good choice! The profile is not tall, so it easily fits under our kitchen cabinet. It has an illuminated timer/clock AND an illuminated area that shows how much water is in the reservoir. It is very easy to operate and is programmable for that early morning coffee. The only complaint is that Lagostina does not have a great website/customer service contact for registering your product. They advise you to "hold on to the original receipt", but that does not help the consumer should there be a recall notice - and the company cannot contact you because the product is not registered for warranty issues. Otherwise, this coffee maker deserves the 5 stars that I'm giving it!
