I have had this lock for over 3 years . It has remained secure through the rain , ice and snow. My only gripe is that the cloth sleeve has rumpled up a few times and slid down the chain.

Decent budget chain lock

Only been using it a week so far. Doing food delivery on a shiny new frame and decided to try this instead of my old (cheap) u-lock. The key mechanism is a bit difficult to get used to at first. I found it frustrating for the first day but now it's becoming routine. New lock cylinder is stiff. Strongly advise giving any new lock a tiny shot of WD-40 before beginning to use it. It's not as long as the Kryptonite chain I used a courier back in the 1990s. Worn like a belt around my 31" waist, it just barely fits around. If I put on another 5 lbs it won't fit. It's not light, as you might guess, but the weight isn't too noticeable when wearing it. Hoping it's as secure as my old Kryptonite chain was. That said, I only use it during deliveries. My bike still comes in my apartment with me. Wish it was about 6" longer at least though. Can't lock around much more than a standard u-lock can.

Beware! NOT a secure lock!!

I was given this bike lock as a gift months ago and first, the key started getting faulty and i found myself having a difficult time opening it. Then, my bike got stolen as the thief somehow cut through the chain. So beware!
