This double roaster does double duty. The bottom half is the perfect size to roast turkey or beef for the family feast and when you invert the top half, you can use it as a shallow roasting pan or serving dish. The base has a ribbed design that keeps meat from resting in the fat that accumulates during cooking. It’s available exclusively at Canadian Tire.

This is a great roasting pan is super large! My kitchen is all KitchenAide! So I just had to have this pan and at Christmas it was great for my turkey and I used it to make my gravy from scratch I just placed it on my gas stove and it did not damage one bit!

Needs a Roasting Rack

One of this product's features are the "raised ribs" to prevent the meat from having to sit in it's oils. That normally would be fine, but once we got home and opened up the box, we realized those raised ribs are super shallow. Definitely not raised enough to justify that as a feature. If you are going to pay that much money for a good quality roaster, it should come with a rack.
We ended up exchanging it for the Lagostina 18/10 Steel Roaster, which comes with a rack. Retail price was $80 more, but we paid only $8 more with the sale they have this weekend.
The KitchenAid Stainless Steel Double Roaster is pretty and fuctional, but definitely needs a rack, even with the raised ribs. We would have kept it otherwise.

Perfect large size, beautiful finish, works great! Washes easily with a bit of baking soda if something stuck and it looks like new even though I've used it for several years.

A: The pan is actually 18" on the diagonal; approx. 16' long, 13" wide and 7" high including the lid.

Q: Combien sont profondes les rainures ? Y en a t-il sur les 2 bases ? Quand on fait cuire une dinde , un canard ou un poulet , on ne veut pas que la pièce de viande ne touche au fond alors , il serait important de connaître la profondeur des rainures.

A: To cook in the roaster you must use it in the oven. It is not a stovetop cooking vessel. However, after roasting the meat many people will make a sauce or gravy from the meat fats and juices. They will place the bottom of the roaster on the largest stove burner for quick heating which is ok.
