Not sturdy enough

I received this as a gift in 2021, but have only really used it for the last year or so for shredding cheese. The plastic chute broke off of base while I was using it, so now it is completely unusable.

Makes shredded a breeze

Excellent product until the feeder detached from the body of the shredder. I hand wash as suggested and yesterday while washing it the clear feeder tube fell back into the sink. Wondering if I should super glue it back on - not sure what to do to repair it because otherwise it is just fine. I got this for Christmas 2025 and have only shredded cheese so far.

KitchenAid Shredder

Tried cabbage for coleslaw and the shredder opening is very small requiring you to cut very small pieces. The blades don't spread well and it keeps clogging. Overall I could have done it by hand faster.

I have had my KitchenAid mixer for at least 30 years. I use it almost everyday. I have several attachments but I have lost the part that holds the blades for the grinder. I ground chicken before the stores even thought of it. Made cubed steaks before people realized you could bread them like fried chicken and many other uses. I just need to find the cap for my grinder.

Don't waste your $$

Terrible product - no matter what you try to shred - Cheese - butter - apples it plugs up. You have to take it apart, clean it out and start again. Also - clean up is terrible when shredding cheese! The only thing worse is using my grandmothers hand shredder!
