Dangerous product

The design is terrible they are too big for the normal ear pushing back and damaging the tragus (responsible for hearing depth) the high end is pushed so hard it sounds like there is air in everything i listen to as well as high pitches being too loud.....who made this thing!? Do not buy!

Q: Just purchased JBL T205. Bud speakers sound great, but I can't get the Mic to work when in Win10 Settings>Sound>Test Microphone. It is showing as using the default "Microphone (High Definition Audio Device)". Do I need another driver?

A: No, you don't need another driver. The driver controls the DAC (digital to analog converter) which actively converts digital audio your system plays to the sound you hear, only in electricity. When you plug in the earbuds, you're simply plugging in a pair of speakers that turn that signal into sound. However, it sounds like your headphones and microphone port are separate, unlike your earbuds, which combine both in one plug. In this case, the mic does not work. There are adapters available online--search an online shopping site (i.e. amazon) for "mic heaphone y splitter", or try https://www.amazon.ca/Headphone-Splitter-Computer-Microphone-Earphones/dp/B08QZ1MPXB/

A: They do not fit in every kind of ear. I haven't realized how small my ears are until I bought these. They hurt my ears every time I use them, and I am looking to get another pair of earphones. Despite that, the earphones have good sound quality.

A: The T205 pair of earbuds has decent bass. It features a mic and a headset button, as well as a flat cable for less tangling mishaps (can confirm--only tangling mishap was with another pair of earbuds). The plug is angled 45 degrees so you're not accidentally stressing the end of the cable as much.

A: It depends on the software--if your media player supports skipping by double-clicking, then yes, both functions should work. Also, you may need to double-click slower. I noticed it doesn't trigger if I double-click too fast.

A: If you do snag the cable somewhere during your jog, they may fall out. However, I haven't had them fall out from other causes. If you do need something that definitely won't fall out, try finding a pair specialized for fitness--most of them have those clips that hold onto (not pinch) your ear lobe.

A: The mic should work as long as the audio jack on your Macbook is combined mic and headphone--however, I haven't seen a Macbook with 2 separate audio jacks for mic and headphones, so you should be good to go.
