Q: How is it with pet hair?
2 months agoA: We have a dog that she’d like crazy. The iRobot® Roomba® Plus 4020 has a small basket and picks up some (very little) dog hair but has trouble automatically ejecting it into the base unit. 1. We sweep up as much hair as possible. 2. I have to pause the robot every few minutes to remove any hair in the robot catch basket and the section to the basket. I don’t mind as I rather empty the robot catch basket before it gets to the base unit as the base unit uses disposible vacuume bag that is very small and expensive. Note: There is a iRobot made specifically for pet hair but it was not available when we purchased our unit.

Q: Is this the same model as the 405? Canadian tire just get its own model number?
7 months agoA: This answer was direct from iRobot. I understand you picked up a new robot from Canadian Tire. You bought it thinking that it was the new Roomba 405, but it was the model 4020. Let me help you with this. No worries, you are right, the model Roomba 4020 is the same as Roomba 405, Canadian Tire is one of the authorized resellers, and they only change the model of the robot as a retailer. It is the same robot, same performance, same accessories, the only difference is the model number. That is the reason why you cannot find information related to 4020, only the 405. Actually, they have all the specifications of the Roomba 405 on their website
