The re-designed ION X is built for extra holes and increased precision. The all-new 40V 5 amp-hour XC5 Battery increases charge capacity by over 60%, allowing ice anglers to cut up to 1600 inches of ice on a single charge. Simply place your auger into the hole and place the blades below the ice, then press and hold the reverse button for 15-20 seconds to flush your hole clean
Designed with Straight-Through™ blades that virtually eliminate “catching” at break through, saving you from jarring stops or yanks
A smooth break through means no jagged ice at the bottom of the hole which can fray line and cost you a big fish

Q: Does this come with the extension to make it go from 36 to 49 inches in length?
5 years agoA: This auger, goes from 34 inches to 46 inches with the 12 inch extension that is provided.

Q: What temperature it can use? because where I live it can go up to -65 (minus 65) and with that cold how long it can use it because with that cold any battery they freeze easy and don’t want to work
7 years agoA: The core temperature of the battery must remain at 40 degrees or higher for it to allow the auger to work properly. If at any time the battery CORE temperature goes below 40 degrees, you will not be able to use your auger until it is above 40 and fully charged. We would recommend having a back-up battery that is kept in an environment that would allow the core temperature to remain at 40 or above. We sell battery bags also. They hold hand warmers that can help to keep your battery warm.
