Ideal Security Storm Door GL Lever Handle with Locking Inside Latch, Matte Black

I bought my door handle while I was doing renovations. When it was time to install it, my wife I want to get a nicer looking door handle from the same store. When it was time to exchange it, I was told that I couldn’t exchange it even though it was in an unopened package. I didn’t want my money back. I just wanted to exchange it on a more expensive one. I was told that I was one day passed the return date and I could not exchange it. I asked for a manager to come and after about 10 minutes, manager came up and okayed the exchange. I wasn’t offered a gift card was told by the customer service that I had to exchange it on another door handle. So when it was time to ring in the new door handle. The customer service person had to call another manager to OK the return because she didn’t get a signature from the other manager. Then I was told that I didn’t qualify for my triangle reward points because I exchange the other door handle and even though the new handle was more expensive, I didn’t qualify for any points. The person should’ve never been on the customer service desk when she didn’t have proper training. I don’t have these problems, returning or exchanging anything at any other store during my renovations. I only have one leg and the only mobility card that you had in that store was not charged. And I took over an hour to rectify this exchange, which would’ve been easy at any other store. This will be the last time I will be buying anything at Canadian tire. This was a terrible experience for something that should’ve been so easy.
