When installed correctly and maintained this latch and handle work well.

When installed correctly this latch and handle work well. Alignment with the strike plate is key. So is tensioning the doors closer so as not to slam shut or close too weakly to ensure latching. This is the 3rd one of these I've had to replace in the last 2 years in all cases the handle broke. If the latch and release depressor don't get a little lube they can stick with frequent use. The handle can break off if you bump it, be careful pulling on it when the latch sticks.
