Great bin for small spaces

We like the double bin idea, but for us have found the bins very small. We like to use large garbage bags to reduce plastic waste, and they are too large for the smaller bins. The idea is great and for separating recycling it would be perfect, especially in a smaller space. The quality of the bins is very good, we just misjudged our needs.

I needed a can to separate recycling in a smaller space. This bin is perfect, easy to fit bags, super easy to empty one side at a time. Friends see it in our home and ask where we bought it. Easy to clean. Definitely recommend

This is a good unit if you have a small family. I find the garbage side hard to fit a bag into. The recycling side fills up quickly too. But it's very handy to have both things in one spot

Q: Can each interior bin stand up on its own? Is the shape of the interior bins affected by the recessed area for the foot pedal or do they have straight edges down to the bottom? If edges are not straight all the way to bottom, does each bin stand up on its own outside the larger white bin?
