I PURCHASED THIS FAN BECAUSE IT WAS 30 INCHES, A CEILING HUGGER AND HAD 6 BLADES MAKING IT WELL BALANCED, IT WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND VERY QUIET FOR THE PRICE. IT MOVES LOTS OF AIR AND AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT FOOL WITH THE REVERSE SWITCH TOO OFTEN IT HAS NO PROBLEMS. MY WIFE HAS ASKED ME TO PURCHASE TWO MORE FOR OUR CAMPER EXTENSION. IT IS HARD TO GO WRONG AT THIS PRICE. HOPEFULLY CANADIAN TIRE STILL HAS MORE.

Beware of strange lightbulb socket

I bought this "hugger" (its true name is Home Collection "Lincoln") ceiling fan, thinking it was a duplicate of one we already had in our house. Only when we had it assembled did we discover that the required bulb is an obscure make: a 60W type-C chandelier bulb. All the chandelier bulbs I looked to buy required they be installed in the upright or horizontal position. This fan needs its bulb pointing downward. This fan is going back to the store; I've already replaced it with a Canarm "Twister". The two models are practically identical.
These are nice, inexpensive little fans. Buyers, I just wanted to recommend you make sure that the fan you buy requires an easy-to-find bulb.

A: Search engine usualy cash all web page. Price difference probably refect a price change over weeks. Price from Canadian Tire site will be the correct one.
