Q: Unsure what "Black Phosphate" means in terms of a finish. Other than the obvious, they being black in colour, can anyone answer the question if these screws are appropriate for project applications for exterior use? In other words, will the rust? TIA

A: Hello. Black phosphate coating provides mild corrosion resistance, therefore, we recommend that these coarse thread pocket hole screws be used for interior applications only on softwoods and composites. Thank you.
