Sash lock worked for little library.

There is a little roadside library nearby and the front refused to stay closed. On a chance I removed the previous mechanism and installed a sash lock.Amazing, it’s working well. Easy for the kids to use.

Do not recommend for old windows

I bought this to replace a broken one that had been painted several times on an old window in my apartment. I should’ve known by the weight that it wasn’t the quality I needed. I was surprised to see the screws warp the metal (is it even metal?) base when I screwed it onto the window but I was shocked when I used my thumb to push the latch in to lock it and it snapped right off. I am literally typing this review with a cut on my right thumb. Should’ve just dropped the $10+ on the real deal.
