Junk Grill

I purchased this grill on the premise that it would be long lasting and sturdy. First time cooking with it it warped and created an uneven cooking surface, the paint started to flake off and was carried upward on the heat and deposited in our food. Canadian tire has really lowered there standards on what is acceptable to sell. Do yourself a favor and pass on this piece of junk.

Ok but not really big enough

We keep this in the trailer and use it if we have too...the legs are just a little too short so it isn't really tall enough to stand over a fire and it is typically too small to rest on the rim of a fire pit. It folds up and fits easily to pack which is great! It has lasted for about 5 years now but with limited use.

Foul Weather Friend

We live in an area where the power goes out quite frequently in the winter months. Last year when the power was out we were also have a sleepover for 4 plus our 2... when trying to figure out how to cook a hot meal I remembered we had this grill. Set it up in the fireplace, put a pot on top, filled with stew ingredients, put the lid on, and made a great meal for all! I have used it for several meals since, and am thrilled to have a way to cook great meals in all weather!

A must have for the campfire

This grill works perfectly over the campfire. We didn't cook food directly on it, as it's painted, but it held the griddle perfectly, with room for the kettle and coffee perker. We also cooked some awesome tinfoil dinners on it. Would buy it again.

Q: Is it actually "painted" and not safe for food? People have commented that this grill is "painted" and therefore only good for pots. That sounds very unlikely to me: Why would anyone make a campfire grill you couldn't put food onto? Please clarify.

A: We do not recommend cooking directly on the grill. The grilling surface is designed to hold pots and pans.
