Don't waste your time on this product!

We were very excited to find a masticating juicer for such a reasonable price & we have had really good experiences with Hamilton Beach appliances in the past.
Our first time using it, the nubs on the juicing cap (part of the locking mechanism, to secure it to the chute) were completely shaved off after only about 8oz of juice went through. We exchanged that one, hoping it was just an anomaly, but nope, the second one broke in exactly the same way.
Returned it for our money back, but still what a big waste of time for a huge disappointment!
We have been making raw juice for a few months now, so we do have an idea of how to prepare the greens, fruits & vegetables to go through an extractor.
For now we have gone back to using our little $12 manual extractor while we continue to save up for a Omega brand.

Shame, the actual unit mechanically seems solid, but the cheap plastic is not up to the job.
repacking and returning items you just bought is just too time expensive.
as background I prepped and chopped up everything fine as a precaution for my first run.
Plastic end-cap broke after about a shot-glass of liquid. returned same day to store.
shame!
Looks good on the shelf but not worth the pollution created in production and distribution.
I suggest Canadian Tire pull these from their stores. Despite conventional wisdom people like me would prefer things to work for years after buying rather than have to return them immediately,.
No I don't want the strong suggestion to exchange for another possibly defective item.

Don't waste your time...

I broke my first one jucing beats the second time I used it. It cracked the clear plastic outside so I figured I should cut the peices smaller . I returned it and got a second one that cracked that also broke within a week. This time the inside screen plastic cracked. Don't waste your time, just buy the Omega.

I bought one it worked for a couple of day then the piece that holds the screen and broke in half.Not strong enough for what it designed to do.
