    Great little tiller

I really love this little machine. I've had it for a couple of years now. It has plenty of power and does an excellent job blending compost into the garden and getting it ready for planting. I particularly love the simplicity of starting it, the quiet operation and never spilling or worrying about getting gas or oil in my vegetable garden.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Hello there, I am sorry to read that you are experiencing start issues. Please allow me to go over the starting procedure. To start the unit, you must first hold down the safety button, while the safety button is being held down, pull up the bale handle. This is the only sequence that will turn on the cultivator. If the bale handle is pulled first, the unit will not turn on. Please find this information in your owner's manual on page 15 under operation. If you continue to experience issues with the start mechanism, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-888-909-6757 for support. We are here to help.

    Can't believe the positive reviews

This tiller can only work in fresh soil. Has no power to actually break up even slightly compacted soil like at the end of the season. Very disappointed in this purchase.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your honest feedback, we are sorry to hear about your negative experience.
It may take several passes over the same path in order to reach the desired depth. In order to dig deeper, lift up on the handlebar pushing the front harder into the ground. Apply downward pressure on the handlebar, pulling unit down towards you for more shallow cultivating. If the tiller stays and digs in at one spot, try rocking it from side to side in order to start it moving forward again. If the soil is very hard, water it a few days before cultivating. Avoid working soil that is soggy or wet. Wait a day or two after heavy rain for the ground to dry.

Q: Can tines be removed so the unit can be used as a lawn edger? Basically I'm wondering if I can use the machine with one tine, to edge / trench the lawn (I.e. By the edge of the driveway).

    • A: Hello izzyblu, The unit is a cultivator and cannot be adjusted into an edger, we do manufacture lawn edgers. Please feel free to contact us at info@greenworkstools.com or visit us at www.greenworkstools.ca for more information on available tools.

    1 Answer
    • A: The battery needs to be removed from the tiller and placed in the charger for it to charge. Additional batteries can be purchased, Canadian Tire Product #60-1758-8.
