MISSING A KEY PIECE

Price is competive BUT....it does not include the nut needed to secure it to the barrel (from the inside) So it is useless without the nut. Had to return it

Q: Is this fitting suitable for potable water? Is it lead-free?

A: Yes it is, most all plumbing fittings are made of brass. I added heavy duty shut off valves to my bathroom water lines and they are brass. It was easy enough to go to Google and find the answer if brass fittings are lead free "Brass is an alloy made mostly of copper and zinc, but when they made these faucets and valves from the late 1970s to 2014, the brass could also have up to 8% lead in it"

Q: So if this spigot doesn't come with the nut and washer, how are you supposed to secure it to the barrel? Are the washer and nut sold separately?

A: Hi sorry but, a threaded spin weld won't do any good on most plastic rain barrels, right? Water pressure will just push it right out on most larger rain barrels.

Q: What is the size of the threaded part the fits into the barrel? It is not 3/4 I checked but can’t tell the actual size.
