This is junk

Looked the same, had all the right specs... Plugged it in and it did not work. Then .. discovered it was impossible to remove.. the fluorescent tube cracked right out of the plastic fitting.. and I was careful.. just so right if wouldn't.come.out.

Q: Is this product available in a soft white bulb? I bought the lamp at Canadian Tire and it came with a "cool" white bulb which I find a bit harsh.
