This GE Silicone II Multi-Purpose Kitchen & Bath Sealant in clear is a high-performance, 100% silicone and 100% waterproof sealant ideal for areas prone to water exposure. Advanced Silicone II Kitchen & Bath sealant is permanently flexible with 40% more flexibility than Class 25 sealants and has 5X stronger adhesion than Silicone 1* sealant. Its 30-minute water-ready formula offers 10-year mould-free product protection to protect against mould and mildew growth. It adheres to most metals, plastics and woods, glass, drywall, plaster, granite, cultured marble, ceramic and porcelain tile, natural stone, cement board, composites, Formica, fiberglass, aluminum and painted surfaces.

Q: Can this product be used as is or do I need to purchase another tool to use it?
8 years agoA: Thank you for your question. You only need a caulk gun to use GE Silicone II Kitchen and Bath. We recommend smoothing with a smoothing tool or a little mineral spirits on your finger and removable tape can be used for straight lines but these are optional.

Q: Is this the same sealant used around a sink to seal it to the counter?

Q: Is this product paintable? We used it on baseboards in our bathroom and it's the type that dries white.
4 years agoA: This silicone is not paintable. There are 2 GE silicones available that are paintable when dry - product 067-0851 GE Kitchen & Bath Paintable Silicone II, 299mL and 067-1080 GE Window & Door Paintable Silicone II,299mL.

5 years agoA: Thank you for your question. This version of GE Silicone 2+ Kitchen & Bath you do need a caulk gun. GE Silicone 2+ does also come in a squeeze tube.

Q: Can this product be used to seal an acrylic shower base? If not what product would you suggest?
11 years agoA: Product 67-0831 is suitable to be used on an acrylic shower base. The potential issue is the type of acrylic, as all acrylics and silicones are not compatible due to the various types of acrylics and finishes, which will not allow the silicone to adhere. An option would be to consider #67-0840 Silicone I K/B Clear or #64-1050.

Q: Can this be used to seal a dishwasher? Vinyl strip at bottom of door is missing a piece.
12 years agoA: Silicone is not designed to be submerged in water which I don’t think is the case in this situation. It appears as though they want to do a repair which may be on the exterior of the dishwasher. We would like to suggest CTC #67-0852, which is the All Purpose Silicone II, Clear, 84 ml squeeze tube. This product has outstanding adhesion to both vinyl & metal. Will provide a watertight seal and remains permanently flexible. Can also withstand temperatures up to 200 deg C (400 F).
