Q: These seem to be effective. One question: Are they safe for washing dishes? Any chemical residue?

A: They are safe for washing dishes but they do have the scour pad attached to one side that can scratch so we always suggest they test what they are washing first. This type of foam does not leave any type of chemical residue.
