For Living Customizable Office Chair

The chair is a real challenge to assemble. I wish that the lumbar wire device was adjustable. The quality is superb. The seat is quite robust, promising a long product life. Recommended for anyone who spends long periods in a chair and at a desk or other work surface.

I tried this in store and thought it was ok. I waited for it to go on sale and grabbed one. Initial impressions were good. The adjustable arms are great, the back adjustments are limited (upper back is fixed in place) so it's important to make sure it works for your height. 2 days in and it it's terrible. The mesh on the upper back got loose in only a couple of days (14 hours use maybe) and even tore at one corner due to movement cause by it not being taut. With the mesh no longer taut the plastic of the frame digs into your back. It was completely unusable. This could have been a manufacturing issue (mesh not tightened down properly). I didn't see an obvious way to service it and it shouldn't fail that quickly. It seems others have not had issues so ymmv. The return process was easy, so no issues there.

Most of the reviews on this product are written by people who got it for free - I thought it would be worthwhile to add my thoughts as someone who paid for it. I bought this chair at 35% off and my initial impression is positive. At the price I paid I feel it's of good value. I docked one star from my review due to some difficulty assembling the chair. A few of the bolts provided to attach two components together were too short to securely thread into their corresponding holes. While frustrating, this was easily fixed by buying a set of slightly longer bolts (literally just needed 5mm longer) for a few dollars. It's strange to me that they wouldn't just include longer bolts in the package to make this step easier. As for the chair itself, it took a bit of time to figure out how to best set everything up but I find it quite comfortable now that everything has been tuned to my liking. It feels fairly sturdy and supportive (I am a ~215lb man). The chair adjusts in several ways: the entire seat and back move up/down; the seat itself can slide forward/backward; the lumbar support can slide up/down, and also flexes back when you lean back on it (this can be locked in place); the armrests move up/down, forward/backward, and pivot a few degrees left/right; and the backrest tilts back and can be locked in place. There is a lot of adjustability here! For a full five star rating I would look for a higher build quality (i.e. more metal pieces instead of plastic) and as mentioned a more thoughtful approach to the assembly process. Ultimately I would still recommend this chair if you are looking for an ergonomic and comfortable office chair on a budget, especially if you can get it on sale. After all, it is considerably less expensive than some other brands out there.

I bought the chair and tried to give it a chance as it has great lumbar support. However, that is where the good part of this chair ends. The seat is very uncomfortable and it's locking mechanism slips at the most inconvenient of times. The arms are just too short to use outside of a rigid sitting position. Conceptually I see what the designer was trying to do however the execution is so terrible. The five star ratings are complete bogus, clearly the incentive was large enough to lie to other consumers. I am here to speak the truth and the truth is save your money! Buy a different chair!!

This chair is a game-changer. I didn't expect to find the ideal office chair from Canadian Tire, but here we are! The look of the chair is sleek and stylish, all while being incredibly functional and ergonomic. The ability to customize the features of the chair is unlike any other I've had before - not only can you adjust the chair height, but also the height of the built-in lumbar support, the angle and sliding location of the armrests. The mesh material also means that it won't absorb spills and stains in quite the same way as other fabrics. The wheels are very smooth and glide across my hardwood floor, and the swivel ability is smooth and effortless. I'm so glad to have tried out this chair - it truly has made my home office much more comfortable and my body is thankful for the more ergonomic setup.
