I like the height, sturdiness & padding. I'm 6'4"/300lbs. Once I figured out (after pushing the little silver release button) which side to press the leg of, to fold stool closed, closing was easy! Purchased for a seat to sit on while I tend my wood stove, then after Im done stool can be easily & tidily set ot of sight!

Great Extra Seating But ... Very Hard to Fold

I purchased these folding stools because I needed extra bar seating in my kitchen when I have guests over. They’re actually perfect in many ways: comfortable, sleek-looking and they feel sturdy enough to handle a good amount of weight. That said, there is one major drawback: they are extremely difficult to close. Several of us tried, carefully followed the instructions and still couldn’t get them to fold. Because of that, instead of being stored away as intended, they sat out in my kitchen for over a week until one of my friends finally managed to close them. Once folded, they do slide together nicely and store easily, which is great. If the folding mechanism were easier to use, these would be a fantastic product.
