I purchased this product 4 months ago. I have owned 2 units previous to this one and they lasted well. This product did not. The hinge on the door on the right side is broke after normal weekly use by a 2 person household to preserve meats and foods for the freezer. Unit was not dropped or misused. So very disappointed. I have contacted the warranty department now, we will see how good this company is.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great product

This is my second FoodSaverFM2100. The first was a workhorse (literally got used weekly) over 12 years and likely would still be working had I not dropped it on an unforgiving hard tile floor. This is an excellent product.

Not the same as I once had

I bought this to replace a unit I had for many years I can see that it's not the same built quality that I had for example the accessory hose is cheap plastic and broke after a few weeks and the motor sounds weaker than the one I had
