Solid. But heavy. Compared to wooden handled shovels this is a beast. Prob overkill for most home users.

Great shovel but can break.

4 months ago

I was planting trees and used my Fiskars spade to dig up the heavy soil. The handle snapped as I leaned back on it to lift the dirt. It didn’t bend one bit. Most spades will bend and flex but this one just snaps. I will replace it and go easy on it next time. Just warning you not to expect to feel it flexing, you will feel the ground a lot sooner than it flexes.

Yes, I recommend this product.
