    I help my neighbour with her gardening and when her dogwood needed cutting back, she gave me these new pruners she'd just purchased. They did a fabulous job, even on the thicker branches. I was so impressed, I went to get a pair for myself. I have another set of secateurs, also Friskars, also excellent, but the blade on these pruners is slightly larger so it was worth the addition to my supplies. I'll be using these to keep all my Eastern Cedars in check along the walkways.

    Works excellently for my needs. The first one we bought was a lemon (the lock lever was slightly out of alignment so the pruner failed to lock properly after use). A straightforward exchange fixed the issue but it took some time to process.

    Q: How thick of a branch will they cut when pruning fruit trees? Do they come with a protective case?

    • A: Will easily cut a 1.5 inch green branch, about .75 inch dead brranch - that is diameter.  Was a very good buy, was using it an hour ago!!!

    • A: Thank you for your inquiry. This Professional Bypass Pruner can be easily adjusted for tension by loosening the small screw on the side of the pruner, then turn the nut to the preferred setting and retighten the screw to hold your adjustment.
