Worried that it has parts that are plastic
a month ago
I needed a pruner so bought and kept it. Worried about the plastic parts breaking over time. My former one lasted 20+ years as it had a metal head. Know that this one isn't as strong.

Capacity Lacking

I tried out this pruner on some Manchurian elms. The knife part cut small branches but you really had to pull on the cord to get it to do any more than 1/2". The saw part is too flimsy to cut larger branches. It was bending too much to be effective so I gave up. Planning to return it.

It sounds like this pruner didn’t meet your expectations for the larger branches. The cord mechanism is best suited for smaller limbs, and the saw is designed for light trimming rather than heavy cutting. Returning it is understandable if it didn’t work for your needs.

I purchase the tree pole First time use when I cut a branch not the saw but the little small branch trimmer is snapped in half the blade
