Worth the Extra

Don't save a few $$ by going with a wood handle/narrow foot platform edger; the large foot platform is the feature that you will appreciate the most, steel construction is light and bulletproof for years to come.

Solid construction

Well constructed edger. All metal, welded together rather than wooden handle inserted into a metal head which cheaper but more likely to break. You get what you pay for.

Not sure if the serrated blades are better as I have not tried them, but this cuts through very compact grass, so no complaints
