The First Alert FG250A Smoke Alarm was specifically designed for residential and institutional applications, including sleeping rooms of hospitals, hotels, motels, dormitories and other multifamily dwellings. The compact, low-profile design of this alarm complements any décor. Battery installation and removal can occur while the smoke detector is mounted to the ceiling or wall via the hinged cover. When the voltage drops to a pre-set warning level, the horn will "chirp" approximately once per minute to indicate a fresh battery is needed. To ensure the battery is always replaced properly, the cover is designed to resist closing when the battery is missing. Designed for wall or ceiling mounting, this smoke alarm includes mounting anchors and screws.

Q: The red light isn't flashing on two models. It flashes once and then stops. Are they defective?
14 days agoA: Hi Marianne, thank you for your question. Once the battery is installed, the red power indicator light (behind the test button) will flash once a minute to show you the Smoke Alarm is working. - Maria
