This all-in-one Dorman Universal Coolant Service Kit makes cooling system maintenance simple and easy for any vehicle. The universal "V" shaped fittings connect to all standard size heater hoses in cars and trucks, and quickly attach to an ordinary garden hose for flushing out old coolant. The kit helps car owners replace coolant on schedule, keeping the cooling system running clean and preventing overheating and corrosion that lead to costly repairs.

If your cooling system needs a flush, and a flush kit has not previously been installed, you need one of these. This universal kit contains 1/2 inch tee, a 5/8-3/4”multi tee, coolant deflection spout, a single direction pressure regulator, 2 clamps and a cap. This is all that is required to do a system flush in 99% of cases. Remember, be prepared!! It takes significantly longer to refill the cooling system if you get an air lock in the cooling system. Some engines are more prone to air locking than others. Some engines have small bleeder valves to release trapped air. The most common place to get trapped air or steam trapped is behind the thermostat. Some brands of thermostats specifically address this issue by placing a small air bleeder into the thermostat

Does the job

Just finished backflushing heater core on dodge nitro. Couldn't get the hoses off and this kit saved the day. The 45 degrees V-shape made it a little more tricky - a T would have been better....shame Canadian Tire don't stock both V & T kits. But it does seem to work - no leaks

A: You can use 38-0811 Prestone Radiator Flush + Cleaner. Can be used for a ten minute quick flush, or three day heavy duty clean For quick flush, use with every antifreeze or coolant change For heavy duty clean, use application for neglected cooling systems
