White Tape - Not for Gas Fittings!

Despite the inexplicable yellow case, this is standard white PTFE (teflon) tape, appropriate for water line fittings and basics. This is not safe to use for gas fittings as the tape of degrade over time. A serious oversight on the part of Dorman.

seems slightly thicker than less expensive tape but is over priced in my opinion the only reason I bought it was the supposed compatibility with gasoline which is not on the packaging
