I bought this for my three year old and he loved it. He always wanted to be like daddy and now he can. I would recommend buying this for any little guy.

one tough rod

I bought this rod for my 3yr old son this year and he caught a 24" striped bass and a lot of perch. I didn't think that it would hold up but it did better then my $100 rod witch broke on the fist trip.the only problem is the drag some times gets stuck but its a easy fix.

I bought this item last year for my 5 year old to use, and it was good. He had a hard time learning to cast at first, but the plankton that came with it helped. The only thing was that the spool got tangled up on more than one occasion. I will be buying another one this year hopefully with a little more luck.
