[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these tools as a gift I've got the light, drill, impact drill, and sawsall 18v kit. I've had them for years. My family and friends all use dewalt tools and use them heavily for construction and rehab on properties. I used my set while flipping my first house. It was built before 1900 ( so all solid old hardwood) all of the dewalt equipment we used did it and did with with ease from framing to roughing electric wouldn't recommend any other product

I purchased this combo kit just a year ago and in less than 6 months the impact drill started smoking and stopped working. Now that it has been almost a year since i got it, both batteries won't hold a charge. I don't think that I would recommend this to anyone. It isn't worth the cost of replacing it every year. I am not happy with a product that I have trusted the Company name for years.. Its not like i'm using them in a commercial setting, they are just used around the house.

You won't go wrong buying this package. Dewalt is a brand you can trust and I have been using my set over the summer working on finishing a basement. Very impressed with the size and weight of both cordless drills...Highly recommended!

I picked up this set on sale AND got a complimentary gift card! The tools themselves are great, battery charge lasts quite long, and the tools are powerful to use and light to carry. Keyless chuck on drill works well. Tools come in useful carrying bag.

Q: Impact Drivers Model Number? Can you please tell me the exact model number of the impact driver? Dewalts website does not list a "dw056" as you describe. all their 18 Volt impact drivers are 1,330 in.lbs but you list this as 1170 lbs? Thanxs!

Q: what's the difference between this product (#54-2975-0) and product #299-0243-2 They appear to both have the 2 drills, but the less expensive combo includes a set of bits. Is there one that's newer or better than the other?

A: The items use a different drill. 54-2975 has the DC720 which uses new motor and transmission technology for more power and slightly longer run time.
