Don't Buy This Cart

Having moved to within walking distance (Less than 1km) of a grocery store, I thought this cart would be great. It was terrible. After 5-6 uses, I was walking in the aisle and the pin that holds the wheel on snapped in half. I only had $100 worth of groceries - no item heavier than a bag of milk. Imagine trying to jerry rig a solution in the middle of a grocery store. Imagine trying to get that solution to hold on the 1km walk back to your home. Very frustrated
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is its OFFICIAL weight capacity (please add to product description)? I saw an anonymous person claim in the Q&A that this cart can hold 120lbs -- seems excessive. Can we get an official answer from store staff or manufacturer, and please add this to the description?

A: Warning on the schematic for this cart says it can hold 120lbs. I can believe it because it is incredibly sturdy. However, I would not load it that much, I wouldn't be able to push it ;) It is huge!!

Q: What are the tools needed to assemble? I would like to know what i would need to assemble one of these carts since i'm a student living on her own i don't have lots of tools on hand. Does the store provide assembly for a price?

A: You don’t need any tools to assemble this cart. Everything’s provided for assembly. If you have them, plyers can help, but again are not required. Assembly services and fees are at the store’s discretion. We invite you to contact your local Canadian Tire store to discuss this issue further.

Q: Was there a change in manufacturer in mid-2013? Has there been a change in supplier or manufacturing facility in the last year? Based on old reviews, I'd definitely buy one, but based on recent reviews, I won't.
