Excellent dehydrator

I already have a Salton dehydrator for a few years, im so happy with it i purchased this one as well. It is a most excellent, affordable dehydrator with multiple heat settings which is great! I love the round as opposed to the square design.

I optimistically bought this unit. After using just a few times (on low heat settings), the trays began to crumble. It is possible to purchase new trays for the unit. but it's definitely disappointed that in order to overcome the faultiness of the trays, the customer has to repeatedly purchase new components.
No, I do not recommend this product.

It Works - does what it is suppose to.

Great little appliance. Does take some time to dehydrate and is a bit noisy, but what fan isn't. I would definitely recommend this product. Haven't tried the herb feature or the fruit roll, but i will.

I used to have a 5 tray Excalibur when I had a garden, but now that I've moved and no longer have a garden, I prefer this one. This dehydrator is a good size for small batches. It's also quieter than the Excalibur. I'm currently using it to prepare dehydrated meals for backpacking next summer.

A: The description says "Powerful 250 watt motor and fan dries food faster" Using Watt's Law 250W/120V=2.08Amps 120 is the voltage 60hz is the frequency.

Q: Environment Fee? Ok, WHY would this item carry an 'Environment Fee'? If anything, anyone using this is helping to preserve the environment (e.g,. drying their own food).

A: There are components in the dehydrator that need to be disposed of properly when it reaches the end of its lifecycle. The environment fee imposed is to ensure that it happens.
