Pretty piece of junk, not worth the $

DO NOT RECOMMEND, IT’S JUNK
Have a have used it for a year or so, as other reviews have stated the push down handle is finicky, but now the toaster no longer functions, no heat, no lights. Do not waste your money unless you enjoy buying small appliances on a yearly basis.

Q: I bought this toaster yesterday. The lever/handle does not lock/remain in the down position. Therefore does not operate. Yes, it is plugged in. Yes, all packaging has been removed. Crumb tray checked and varies settings tried.

A: Nickieozzy: I too returned one, but after seeing R McT's reply, I tried holding lever down. It worked, but kind of annoying. Certainly does NOT have a light touch. Very slow and toasting seems uneven, but it will do.

Q: Does the outside of this toaster stay cool or does it get hot when making toast? If the coloured part does stay cool, does the band of silver below the coloured area also stay cool? Thanks for your help!

A: Yes it does. Both the exterior part of the toaster and the crumb tray at the base remain cool while in use. However, given this is a heating element, care should always be taken by avoiding the manipulation of the toaster while in use or immediately afterwards.
